(That’s “For The Win”, by the way) I started using iGoogle almost the second (okay, so it was a day or two) it came out, and I instantly fell in love with it. Every computer I own and/or use on a regular basis has iGoogle as the start page. There is SO much stuff that you can do with it, that a person could never (okay, most-likely-never) get bored with it. Add to that the growing list of GTD, personal organization and productivity apps coming out almost daily, and it just keeps getting better.
Activity Tracking
August 29, 2007I’ve been looking for a program that would allow me to keep track of all the tasks/activities I have to do in a given day, allow me to set specific time restraints for them, and not be a total bear to use. Well, LifeHacker found it for me. I’ve been an iGoogle user since pretty much the beginning, so this was a welcome find for me.
Online GTD (or GTD Online)
August 29, 2007I talked about internet productivity a few days ago, and the habits that you’ll need to keep consistent. Now that you have those down (you DO how those down, don’t you?), I thought I’d stir the pot a little and give you some online GTD ideas. There are sites allover the place, personally, I use Google Calendar and HiTask for (just about) all my online GTD needs.
Brain Training
August 27, 2007Recently I’ve started seeing commercials for a little game that’s played on the DS that sports itself as a “brain training” game. Now, I don’t have a DS (and really have no desire to get one), so this little game is useless to me. But, for those non-gamers among us, there is hope! There are a few resources out there that can help you feed your head (no, not in a better-living-through-chemistry way) and have fun while you’re doing it.

Batch work
August 23, 2007I don’t know about you, but every once in a while I like to go through my computer, and get rid of the flotsam and jetsam of programs installed. I figure if I haven’t used it in six months, I’m probably not going to need it in the near future. The problem with this process (until now) is only being able to uninstall one program at a time, and not being able to start another uninstall until the previous is finished. That problem is no more with the Absolute Uninstaller. This program allows you to select which programs you want to uninstall, add them to a queue, and walk away knowing that when you come back, your computer will be a little lighter on the HD side.
